Guidance App ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application ("the App").

When you create an account, we collect:

• Profile avatar (if provided)
• Church/community affiliation

Usage Data

We automatically collect certain information when you use the App:

• Sermon listening history and playback data
• Community posts and replies you create
• Meeting requests and scheduling data
• Device type and operating system

Audio Data

If you are a community administrator using the sermon recording feature, the App accesses your device microphone to record audio. Audio recordings are uploaded and stored on our servers for playback by community members.

Camera Data

The App may access your camera solely for scanning QR codes when joining a community. No images or video are stored.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the App
• Create and manage your account
• Enable community features (posts, replies, meeting requests)
• Deliver sermon audio and transcripts
• Facilitate meeting scheduling between members and administrators
• Send service-related notifications
• Respond to your inquiries and support requests

3. Data Storage & Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

4. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

• Within your community: Your name and posts are visible to other members of your church community.
• Meeting requests: When you request a meeting, your name and request details are shared with your community administrator.
• Legal requirements: If required by law, subpoena, or court order.
• Service providers: We use Supabase for data storage and authentication. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

5. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

• Supabase — Authentication, database, and file storage
• Expo / React Native — App framework and distribution
• Stripe — Payment processing for community subscriptions (if applicable)

Each third-party service has its own privacy policy governing the use of your information.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data stored in the App
• Update your profile information at any time
• Delete your account and associated data by contacting us
• Opt out of non-essential communications
• Export your data upon request

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

8. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the App's services. You may request deletion of your account at any time, after which your data will be removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy within the App. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
